Granada Frequently Asked Questions

What is the application process?

  1. Visit the Study Abroad office in 308 Fell Hall, should you want to meet with someone in person with questions. Then apply on their website.
  2. If you don't have one, apply for your US passport as soon as possible.
  3. Contact Laura Edwards and notify her of your intent to study abroad (by Sept. 1 for spring study and by Feb 30 for fall study). She will take down your name and later email you with the date and time of the group meeting, usually 2nd week of Sept. for spring study and the first week of March for fall study.
  4. Contact Dr. Shively to notify her of your intent to study abroad. She will take your name and email and contact you when she has set the dates and times for interviews. (Part of the application process.) You will sign up for an appointment on her office door.

 

5.Attend a group Course Planning meeting with Laura Edwards in order to know which classes you can take in Granada. Refer to this form for help. Bring your Course Articulation Form (found on online application) with you to the Course Planning meeting. Make 3 copies of this page and turn one in to Moulton 107. Give one copy to your parents and take one with you to Granada.
6. Go to an interview with Dr. Shively.
7. Complete application requirements and turn in an application to the Office of International Studies and Programs.
