By following the list below, you will complete the course requirements for a major in German Teacher Education.
The National Criminal Background Check must be completed and returned before any student can register for or take any TCH or EAF courses.
Take these during your sophomore year:
**C or better required in ENG 101 and COM 110, and in all courses that count toward certification.
Upon completion of 60 credit hours and anytime after, take:
You should be prepared to dedicate significant time in and outside of class to your TCH 210, 212, 216 and LAN 319/320.
Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 and a minimum major GPA of 3.0.
Students must have a grade of “C” or above in all required coursework that is part of their program. This includes all endorsement areas, major courses and professional education.
Required OPI score of Intermediate High for LAN 319 and LAN 320 and Advanced Low for Student Teaching.
Apply to student teaching (applications accepted in fall semesters only) 1 to 1 and half years prior to your planned student teaching semester.
Gateway 1 must be completed before student teaching.
Gateway 2 is completed during student teaching.
