Advising

This advice does not replace the German major requirements in the undergraduate catalog. Please reach out to Dr. Laura Edwards with any questions or concerns.

  • GER 111 and 112 do not count toward the major but do count as hours toward graduation.
  • Students need 9 total GER courses beyond 116, three of which must be at the GER 300-level.
  • Please note that not all 200 and 300-level GER courses are offered every semester and may sometimes be offered only every-other-year. Check with German faculty or academic advisor.
  • Students may take GER 285 and GER 385 multiple times (each time counting as unique course credit) as long as course content is different each time.
