Advising

This advice does not replace the French and Francophone Studies major requirements in the undergraduate catalog. Please reach out to Dr. Laura Edwards with any questions or concerns.

  • FRE 111 and 112 do not count toward the major but do count as hours toward graduation.
  • Students need 9 total FRE courses beyond 116, four of which must be at the FRE 300-level.
  • Please note that these courses are not offered every semester and may sometimes be offered only every-other-year. Consult CourseFinder for current offerings and/or check with French faculty or academic advisor.
  • Students may take FRE 285 and FRE 385 multiple times (each time counting as unique course credit) as long as course content is different each time.
