Accelerated Spanish Sequence
The Accelerated Spanish Program Sequence (ASPS) is a pathway to the master’s program in Spanish. The accelerated degree program offers high-achieving Spanish majors interested in advanced study the opportunity to complete a bachelor’s and master’s degree in 5 years. Once accepted, the student will be expected to take graduate level credit during their senior year. These courses will count for both the undergraduate and graduate degree. Students that qualify must apply during the spring of their junior year. Admission is based upon program capacity and academic competitiveness. Acceptance into ASPS includes acceptance into the master’s program in Spanish, if the student is in good standing and has made progress towards their master’s degree in their Senior year. A student is still required to apply to the Graduate School to transfer over to graduate only status. This application will be required in the spring of the ASPS student’s senior year.
